Suspension of all non-essential eye care – COVID-19 update

This information supersedes our previous update on Friday 20th.

Today we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all routine eye examinations and contact lens checks appointments, in order to protect the health and well-being of our customers and our team in these challenging times.

If you have a problem with your glasses or contact lenses that cannot wait or an eye sight problem that means you require emergency or essential care or advice, please contact our team on 01606836582. We will be offering this service during our normal opening hours.

Any contact lenses due to be collected will either be posted out, where possible or delivered. We ask that you only request solution if you actually need it in the near future as we don’t want to run out of stock and will be delivering solution as and when you require it on request.

Anyone requiring a routine contact lens check will be reviewed over the phone unless there is a vision concern or any discomfort being experienced.

A huge thanks to our team who have worked tirelessly up until this point to keep services open with great care and community spirit.

We are constantly monitoring the situation, working with government guidance and NHS England, and we will endeavour to be fully functioning as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you back with us when that time comes, supporting local business.

Until then stay safe.
